As we enter a new year and a new decade we will see new trends hitting the catwalks and lining the shops in the hope to catch our eye and entice us into following the crowds for fear of being seen as unfashionable.
If you have been following me for a while you will know that I am not a trend follower nor do I encourage my clients to buy into trends. In the fast fashion industry it has become near impossible to keep up with the ever changing 'must-have items' whether it's a micro bag, bicycle shorts or a hairband for every day of the month only to find you are 'so last month' in the blink of an eye.
Having said that I think it is worthwhile keeping one eye on the industry and only add an item to your wardrobe if it suits your style personality, it is within your colour palette and it works for your body shape. In this way you can make the 'trend' work for you far longer than it was intended.
